This hilltop castle is located on a steep ridge between the Dunajec River and the reservoir. It was built in the 13th century and secured the trade route to Hungary.
The ruins were recently cleared of rubble. A construction plaque is still present, but I believe this construction work is now complete.
A large area at the rear has been roofed over, probably for archaeological excavations.
The ruins are in a stunning location overlooking the Dunajec Reservoir.
