With a clear, coherent, top-class building created by the Zurich architects Weber & Hofer, Linz has had an art museum of international standing since 2003. The museum, which is impressive in its simplicity and at the same time contours the city silhouette, has already become a Linz landmark with the night-time illumination of its glass shell. In the immediate vicinity of the Danube, between the Nibelungen Bridge and the Brucknerhaus, it is just a few minutes' walk from the main square and at the same time offers relaxation on the extensive, green shore area.
