This is the second tank standing here. The first was erected by the Russians when the 6th Novgorod-Vitebsk Mechanized Division was stationed in Bornem. When the Russians left Borne in 1992, the tank disappeared. Maybe they took it with them, or maybe it went to scrap metal - it is not known today. The new one was brought from the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw. It has undergone conservation treatments and its equipment has been supplemented. It stood on a reinforced pedestal, barrel up.
