Corato, on the eastern slopes of the Murge, is about 40 km from Bari. The historic center is the heart of the city, where traces of its Norman, medieval and Baroque past are preserved, and is characterized by an irregular urban layout, with narrow streets and winding roads that open into squares and widenings. From here you can reach Castel del Monte, the famous tourist destination which is less than 20 kilometers from the centre.
