Newly built brewery Ninkasi (namesake is the Sumerian goddess of beer or alcohol). Founded in Lyon in 1997, the company currently has 20 production employees at its Tarare site (1 rue Edouard Herriot) with a tasting room, bar, restaurant and stage. Since the capacities at the original brewery location in Lyon did not allow for any expansion and the water in Tarare is of much better quality and contains less lime, production has now been completely relocated to Tarare.
