In 1774 the church of S. Maria della Neve was built near the place where once stood a small rock chapel, but not suitable to implement the diocesan project aimed at increasing religious practice and the crowding together the population of Gallura shepherds for the celebrations of the united community.

The current church is the result of several extensions and restorations over the centuries.

It is built from local granite blocks. The facade is smooth and poor in ornaments. In the center is the main entrance and at the top is an oculus. It ends with a segmental arch crowned by a cross. On the northern side wall are the side entrance, the three large recently opened windows and the bell tower built in the northeast corner of the church. The old vicarage leans against the south wall.

The interior consists of a single hall and is divided into three bays by two granite arches. The presbytery on the east wall has a barrel vault with side windows.

Facade:
The facade faces west. The masonry facade is made of granite blocks laid in horizontal rows and has no ornaments. It ends with a lowered arch made of blocks decorated with moldings and crowned by a cross and two lateral pinnacles at the corners. Central door with two entry steps and Oculus in the middle of the view.

Attachment:
The floor plan is rectangular and divided into three fields by two columns. The presbytery is narrower than the hall.

Structural plant:
The enclosing masonry consists of granite blocks and lime mortar. Two slit arches support today's wooden gable roof in the middle. The presbytery is barrel-vaulted.

Floors and walkways:
The floor of the hall is made of terracotta tiles laid in a herringbone pattern, while granite slabs were used in the presbytery.
