Romanshorn today has very few historic buildings, as almost everything was destroyed during various fires in the 19th century. Among the objects still to be found in the northern lake park are the castle from 1829, which is today run as a hotel, as well as the nearby "Old Church" of St. Mary, dedicated to Peter and Gallus. The Schloss and old Church of Romanshorn are close to the water and are beautiful. Impressive, easy to reach and cool to see or cycle past. As there are only a few historic buildings around Romanshorn due to extensive fires, they are easy to see.
