Pizzo Penice is a peak in the Val Grande National Park which reaches 1550 m asl. From here you can admire a spectacular panorama of Lake Maggiore and the Val Grande ridge.

Seen from the summits which surround it, the Pizzo Pernice forms a veritable lacework of granite. It is this silhouette that gave it its name Pizzo – lace in Italian. From the Pizzo Pernice, you can discover spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks that surround the Val Grande.

Pizzo Pernice is perfectly located in the center of the ridge that separates Valgrande from Verbano. It offers a splendid 360° view: Lake Maggiore to the south, the Monterosa massif to the west and the spectacular Val Pogallo to the north, on whose crest the three highest peaks of the park are clearly distinguishable: Cima Marsice, Cimone di Cortechiuso and Cima of Laurasca.
