At the terminus of the Hunsrückbahn (coming from Boppard on the Rhine) in Emmelshausen, part of the station building serves as the Hunsrückbahn Museum. It is looked after by volunteers. Opening hours are limited to Sundays and public holidays, between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and only in the months of May to September.
But if you are interested in railways and can manage your time, the visit is worthwhile and the 2 euro entrance fee is well worth it.

In the old freight shed right next to Emmelshausen station, railway enthusiasts have put together a unique collection on the Hunsrück Railway. The old signal box has also been put back into operation.
