With around 250 families living here, Lho is a slightly larger village on the Manaslu Circuit. Here you will find numerous larger tea houses and comfortable lodges in beautiful locations. Because Lho is located at the foot of Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world. If the visibility is good, you will see the imposing peak from here for the first time on the Manaslu trek. Lho has a rich cultural history and is known for its ancient Buddhist monasteries and religious sites. The nearby Hmang Monastery offers spectacular views of the Chuli and Himalchuli mountains. Another important religious site in Lho is the Gonpa Naktsal Monastery, built under the direction of Guru Rinpoche.
