At the beginning of the 20th century, the estate served as the official residence of the bailiff of Hülst for the municipality of Legden. The building underwent extensive renovations in 1988/89 and further energy-efficient upgrades in 2011/12.
The estate is now privately owned and can only be viewed from the outside.
