    In 1907 the monument was erected. The Bismarck portrait was long gone. For several years it is complete again.

      Bismarck monuments (sometimes also called Bismarck columns, Bismarck statues, etc.) were erected in honor of the longstanding Prussian Prime Minister and first German Chancellor, Otto Fürst von Bismarck, in many places in Germany at that time (today partly Denmark, France, Poland and Russia) Colonies as well as established on other continents.
      The Bismarck monuments were the most visible and permanent expression of Bismarck worship or the Bismarck cult in the Empire.

                    Erected in 1907, the monument features a replica of a former bronze medallion of the Reich Chancellor, which the Limprecht/Büchner family of innkeepers had kept in the basement from 1945 until the fall of the Berlin Wall. The completed monument was rededicated in 1995 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the inn's operation.
