A breath of fresh air and a new name
Föhr Tourismus GmbH (FTG) will be launching a new spa music concept from 2021. From May to September she presents a wide musical spectrum in the music pavilion at Wyker Sandwall. Not only is the name “Music by the Sea” new, but also a 14-day change of bands – including some new groups and from the island of Föhr. The only breaks are during the German Bridge Festival in May and the jazz festival “Jazz goes Föhr” in July. There will no longer be any appearances by the respective band at the Wyker Fischmarkt in the future.

“The new concept was originally planned for this year. But in 2020, as we all know, everything is going a little differently than planned. Looking positively into the future, we now hope that we will bring new momentum to spa music at Wyker Sandwall from May 2021. “Music by the Sea” should inspire guests and islanders and no longer be perceived as a noise nuisance,” explains FTG managing director Jochen Kommunalhardt.

From 2021, around three performances with a playing time of 70 minutes each are planned every day from May to September.” The implementation of dance evenings is still open. There may also be a new, fresher format here,” says FTG event manager Andreas Miler.
