The Dan Moller Trail is a gradual climb to an alpine cirque and the Dan Moller public use cabin. Much of the trail is plank boardwalks over muskeg, dotted with spring and summer wildflowers.
The Dan Moller Trail also intersects with the Treadwell Ditch Trail, a popular walking and blueberry-picking trail that bisects Douglas Island, running a total of 16.5 miles (26.6 km) one-way.
Heads up: The Dan Moller Trail has high avalanche hazard in winter and spring, and it may be open to snowmachines when there is sufficient snow cover.
