Originally built as a Slavic castle over a thousand years ago, over the centuries this beautiful, magnificent fairytale castle has been created, rightfully on the World Heritage List. Embedded in the lake landscape, you can stroll through the lovingly designed gardens, visit the castle museum, or visit the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which has its seat here. There is a lot to marvel at and admire, one of the top highlights that must be visited.

Nestled in the beautiful Schwerin lake landscape, Schwerin Castle resembles a real fairytale castle. It is the unique landmark of the state capital.
Once the seat of the Mecklenburg dukes, it now houses the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the impressive castle museum.
Here you can admire the living and representative rooms of the grand dukes,
the magnificently designed throne room and much more interesting things.
In the castle and palace gardens, masterful gardening and wonderful promenades await you. In the castle café (November - March) or in the orangery (April - October)
you can linger after an exciting tour and let the impressions sink in.
