In the event of an extreme Sihl flood, there is a risk of building damage of over 6 billion francs in the city of Zurich alone. A relief tunnel from Langnau am Albis to Thalwil will enable flood peaks from the Sihl to be transferred to Lake Zurich from 2026. This eliminates by far the greatest risk of flooding in the canton of Zurich.

On request, we can also offer groups a guided tour of the information center without visiting the construction site. This takes about 1½ hours.
