    30.07.2003 - It rises above the ancient Forum romanum, where Julius Caesar supposedly delivered a speech to his soldiers after crossing the Rubicon. On the piazza are the clock tower and the octagonal temple S. Antonio. The zone has suffered severe damage during the Second World War and has been largely reconstructed. The ancient Forum romanum at the crossroads of "Decumanus maximus" and "Cardo maximus" was for centuries the "Piazza delle Erbe (the herbs)" (the porticoes reveal their purpose); later it became Piazza Tre Martiri in memory of three young partisans who were executed here (Mario Cappelli, Luigi Nicolò, Adelio Pagliarani).
