Cross the river by horse. Do not go through it yourself barefoot. The water is ice cold and the bottom is rocky. You don't just walk through it, the crossing on foot takes a long time, so that your feet will hurt unbelievably because of the cold. People I saw doing it on foot came across crying.

We were there in October 2023. There was no horse waiting. We crossed the river ourselves wearing our hiking boots using stones in the river as natural bridge. The water altitude was between ankle height and knee height depending where you measured.

You should cross in the morning, in the afternoon the current is much stronger. Difficult without sticks.
