Passo Stalle - the Staller Saddle - is at 2,052 meters above sea level. It is the border between Austria and Italy and the winding pass road is particularly popular with motorcyclists. However, the road is so narrow that traffic is only allowed to flow in one direction at a time. To ensure that this works, there is a traffic light regulation: From the first to the 15th minute of every hour, the direction Staller Sattel - Antholzer See is open, from the 30th to the 45th minute the opposite direction is open. This rule does not apply to cyclists, but you should remember it and drive carefully if the traffic rolls past you from one direction or the other.
