From the car park in Trollheimsund, a marked path leads past a few houses and over various hills to the petrified "trolls" at Trollholmsundet. According to an old Sami legend, a group of trolls wandered across the Finnmarksvidda at night. They wanted to bury their huge treasure chest in Porsanger. When this didn't work, they moved on and wanted to cross the fjord. But the rising sun turned them into stone.
