The ruins of a late Gothic castle built in 1519-1526 by the Grand Marshal of the Crown Piotr Kmita.
Mokrsko Castle was expanded in the late 16th and 17th centuries. In the 18th century it fell into disrepair.
It was built on a rectangular plan.
In its western part, a residential building with four floors and 300 m² was built.
Presumably representative rooms were located on the upper floor.
In the southern part of the castle there was a gate tower.
The courtyard was surrounded by a defensive wall with a guard porch with loopholes and had an area of around 750 m².
The castle was surrounded by a moat.
The ruins of the castle and its surroundings are included in the register of immovable monuments.

Unfortunately, the castle ruins cannot be entered. It is cordoned off over a wide area. Entering is prohibited.
But if you are on the dirt road that leads along the idyllic Nida River, the ruins offer a beautiful view from about 100m away.
