Gare de Marseille Saint-Charles is the perfect starting point to explore the city and its surroundings. From here you can easily reach other cities on the Côte d'Azur such as Nice, Cannes or Toulon by train, or visit larger cities such as Paris, Lyon and Barcelona. The station is also connected to the local transport network, including the metro, buses and trams, making it easy to get around Marseille.

The local vibe is lively and bustling, typical of a large train station. The imposing concourse has shops, restaurants and cafes offering travelers a variety of amenities. The impressive flight of steps in front of the train station leading down to La Canebière street offers excellent views of the city and the sea.

Close to the train station are some of Marseille's major attractions, such as the impressive Saint-Vincent de Paul church and the Jardin Pierre Puget, a small park where you can relax and enjoy the view. The central location of the train station allows you to easily get to other sights such as the Vieux-Port, Le Panier or the Sainte-Marie-Majeure Cathedral.
