Ruins of Sir Thomas MacLellan’s tower house in Kirkcudbright. The building is currently closed (Sept 22) for some masonry renovations, but you can still see plenty from the roadside. You also get a good view of the harbour from here.

Impressive townhouse and 16th century family home. Bear in mind that the castle is closed from 1 October to 31 March.
