The town and main church was destroyed during the fighting for Neisse town from February to April 1945. Since then, its walls and tower have towered into the sky as ruins. She shared the fate of the churches on the Oder-Neisse border.

The late Gothic town church was built in the 13th century. first mentioned and burned out in 1945 during World War II. Since then it stands as a memorial against the war. Since 2006, however, a development association is trying to rebuild the church completely. Next door is in the historic yellow house, the Gubin Town Hall & and below a restaurant. This place forms part of the Gubin center and is highly recommended to visit.
