      The Palace of the Shirvanshahs (Azerbaijani Şirvanşahlar sarayı Shirvanshahlar sarayı) is a complex of stately buildings on the top of the hill of İçəri Şəhər in Baku, Azerbaijan. This name is often only used to refer to the actual residential palace. The Shirvanshahs were a Muslim dynasty that ruled in the Shirvan region in what is now Azerbaijan.
      The ensemble includes the Mausoleum of the Shirvanshahs, the Maiden Tower, the Shah Mosque, the Tomb of Seyid Yahya Bakuvi, the Murad Gate, the Divanxana (meeting house), the Key Gubad Mosque and the bathhouse.

        Here are some key points about the palace:

        History: After a devastating earthquake in 1191, the rulers of the Shirvanshah state moved their capital from Shamakhi to Baku. In the early 15th century, Shirvanshah Ibrahim I ordered the construction of a new palace complex. Construction halted in 1501 when the Shirvanshah state was overthrown by the Safavids. Over the centuries, the complex served various purposes and was damaged by wars. However, large-scale restoration work was carried out in the 20th century.
