This work of art is part of the Abenheim Sculpture Trail, a project of the local local history association. It was opened in 2009, is around 4 km long and offers a wide panoramic view from the Odenwald across the Rhine plain to the Palatinate Forest, and Worms Cathedral can also be seen in the distance.

The starting point is the approximately four-meter-long high stands that were previously used to ward off starlings. The guard climbed up them with a ladder and, once at the top, used a blank-firing pistol to chase away the flocks of starlings in the autumn. This form of starling defence is long gone, as electronic defence has been used for decades. A few years ago, Abenheim came up with the idea of making these high stands available to artists.
