It is full of original nature and a special feature of Kranj. The gorge through which the river Kokra flows! A green canyon in the middle of the city that offers rest and relaxation, just a few meters from the bustling city life.
There are also local guides on the trail, where you get to know a diverse mosaic of water-near biotopes. This colorful and dynamic area provides shelter and habitat for many species of animals and allows a variety of trees, bushes and herbs to thrive.
Once there were four mills on the river, so strong is its current. At the beginning of the 20th century, a popular municipal swimming pool was built on the shore. Even today, the green nature and the pure water are inviting, especially in hot summer days, when you can swim there and explore the surrounding area.
