Würzjoch, THE recommendation for families with children and those who are lazy when it comes to hiking. You can park in the parking lot on the pass at the Ütia de Börz mountain hut from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for €8, and then for free.
It is apparently very full in the morning, but we were lucky from 2 p.m.
In just under 30 minutes, without wondering and taking photos :), you can reach the Munt de Fornella hut on a wide and well-developed path, even with a stroller and wheelchair. On the way, you can enjoy fantastic views of the Peitlerkofel and the Kronplatz and the surrounding mountains.
The hut is comfortable to sit outside, with great views, delicious food, moderate prices and super friendly staff. From there, you can hike left and right around the Peitlerkofel, including a via ferrata. We hiked back and forth a bit. Great views on both sides. And there is also an enchanted path through rocks, moss and trees. The children loved it. For ambitious hikers there are many trails, including the Peitlerkofel climb
