Beyond the grand church itself, the mission complex boasts other architectural wonders. The granary, supported by flying buttresses, is the oldest operating gristmill in Texas. The hand-carved stairway to the bell tower, built without nails, is a testament to the skill of the mission builders.

Wonderful mission with a well kept church and impressive grounds showing the layout of such an outpost much better than the over-touristy Alamo.
There is a fee of $1 to enter the church, which may also be paid through a QR code.
