On the northern summit plateau, the horizon observatory was built in 2008. The modern structure consists of a circular, flat surface of 88 m diameter, a lowered by 1.50 m forum with 35 m in diameter in the middle and two arches with a radius of about 45 m, which are like the great circles meridian and Himmelsäquator stretch across the square.
