A tranquil spot, Annascaul Lake is set against a backdrop of mountains and is several kilometres long. It's a pretty remote and a great way to feel a million miles away from everywhere. If you also have hiking shoes then continue to follow the track and you will reach a beautiful waterfall (c.30 minutes).
