The oxygen factory belonged to the former research complex of the Nazis in Peenemünde and served for the production of the retaliatory weapon 2 (V 2) u.a. needed oxygen.
Due to the fact that the fuse has not been used for decades, the condition of the building has deteriorated so much that a demolition is already being considered.

The oxygen plant in Peenemünde is part of what was once the largest military-industrial research complex in Nazi Germany, the former Peenemünde test facilities. Liquid oxygen was produced here to power the A4 unit, also known as Vergeltungswaffe 2 (V2).

Historisch Technisches Museum - Currently, further use of the oxygen plant is being considered. The museum is still accessible, nothing should be demolished there.
A visit is worthwhile, just to see the nonsense of war and military spending. It would make a lot more sense to put the same money into civil inventions from the outset and into peacekeeping.
