The tower is the oldest part of the church and is immediately recognizable as a defensive tower from afar. As we see it now, it was probably built after 1250. A Gothic baptismal font, which had stood in the old churchyard for a long time and was misused as a basin for planting parsley, was smashed out of ignorance when the church was renovated in 1920/21. The current marble baptismal font dates from around 1700.

The massive, late Gothic, fortified choir tower with a high pointed helmet and four little huts was built in the 15th century. The church originally stood on a fortified churchyard, from which remains of the fortified wall are still preserved. In the chancel of the tower, a ribbed vault rests on corner services. The essentially Romanesque nave was renovated around 1690. It was extended from 1920 to 1921 by a western extension in neo-Gothic forms and at the same time vaulted. The ceiling was provided with Rabitz. The width of the church corresponded to today's nave. In 1978 the central nave was demolished and rebuilt, and the two aisles were added. Only the gallery of the old church remained. The new organ has been on this since September 1993. The tabernacle in the choir and the old altar table, on which a neo-Gothic high altar was placed, have been preserved in their original form. What relics the reliquary stone contains is unknown.
