After traveling along dirt and sandy paths, you will be faced with the sudden opening of the vast and deep golden expanse of Piscinas, seven kilometers long. The blue horizon of the sea and the sky merge, while the brilliant sand dunes, recognized as a world heritage site by UNESCO, mix with the colors of the Mediterranean scrub. The vegetation thrives with centuries-old junipers with twisted branches, lentisks and wild olives forming small groves and, in spring, wallflowers, sea lilies and sand poppies. Every now and then, the Sardinian deer wanders among these lands, while sea turtles lay their eggs on the shore.
The size of Piscinas always allows for quiet isolation, so much so that a large stretch has been officially designated, since 2018, as the largest naturist beach in Europe.
