It's only a few meters to the museum, the path is wheelchair accessible!

So it's worth taking a short walk here from the parking lot or museum with a person with mobility issues (or small children) to see the sea. The view is great!

On the other hand, if you walk past the viewpoint, you should consider visiting the museum too.

Opened in 2020, the platform is a wonderful place on the Wild Atlantic Way to stop and appreciate the rugged beauty of the Blasket Islands. Slightly inland along a path to the north east is the Blasket Centre, which showcases the history of the Blasket Islands. It also has a cafe so is well worth the detour.
