Large cave complex , self guided, all fluro light lit, leading to a huge cathedral cave. The main caves are located adjacent to a Buddhist shrine cave - also large but shallow.
You are actually describng Tub Tao Caves - but yes, well worth the visit and FAR better than the well known Chiangdao caves. The fluros have been replaced by LED string lights. Take a directional beam flashlight to properly appreciate the features of this great cave complex. Also good quality footwear (sports shoes are perfect). You MAY need to ask the monks to switch on the cave lighting.
