Frombork railway station was a stop on the 48 km long line from Elbląg to Braniewo, which runs along the coast of the Vistula Lagoon and was operated by the Haffuferbahn.

The station once belonged to the Haffuferbahn AG, founded in 1896. On 1 July 2012, the Tolkmicko-Braniewo section was closed and, on 10 August 2013, the re-commissioning of the Frombork-Braniewo section for seasonal special services. Since 2015 no more trains run.
