The oldest part of the church is the basement of the bell tower. It comes from the 12th century church from which the tower originally stood separately. Under the eaves of the apse, a frieze carved with human figures, animals and mythical creatures from the 15th century runs. The bronze roof ridge, reminiscent of the Sainte-Chapelle, was built in the 19th century on the nave.

The west façade was designed by Simon-Claude Constant-Dufeux after 1867 with an archivolts portal inspired by Gothic architecture. Apostles are portrayed on the walls, and the archways are filled with music-making angels. The sculpture of the Trumeaupfeilers was created by Aimé-Napoléon Perrey and represents the blessing Christ dar. The tympanum is provided with a painting on enameled lava, which was executed by Jean-Paul Balze and the martyrdom and the glorification of St. Laurentius represents.
