                  Relatively easy to reach from the Brauneck summit (apart from one passage). Great view. The route from Latschenkopf towards Stie-Alm is much more demanding. Hiking passage with a steep section, slippery rock.

                                      Latschenkopf with a wonderful view (in good weather conditions) - relatively easy and quick to reach from the Brauneck cable car. We opted for the somewhat more challenging option from the Bayernhütte on the Brauneck via Stiealm. It was definitely worth the effort. 😉

                                        The Latschenkopf is a 1,488 m high peak in the foothills south of the Benediktenwand.
                                        The Latschenkopf, along with the Stangeneck and the two Kirchstein peaks, forms the characteristic silhouette west of the Brauneck. Hardly anyone hiking from the Brauneck over the ridge to the Latschenkopf for the first time can resist the charm of this view.
                                        The diverse landscape is created by several different Jurassic rock types that meet there.
