The so-called house of the preparer (shift manager) is one of the most striking and large buildings within the Saigerhütte area. The house is two-storey and can be divided into a main building and a north-western outbuilding. Both buildings are two-storey and each have a gable roof with various dormers and roof houses. While the ground floor of both buildings is made of solid brick, the upper floors and gables are half-timbered. During the conversion of the preparer's house and the adjacent copper warehouse, the outbuilding, which has a bay window and round windows on the ground floor, was built using older building materials from the former copper warehouse. The copper for sale was originally stored in this building. The basic structure of the preparer's house and the copper warehouse dates back to around 1586.

With our two houses, the Hüttenschänke and the Anzieher's house, our Hotel Saigerhütte is part of the Saigerhütte monument complex.
Our Hüttenschänke dates back to 1537. The brewing and liquor license was exercised in it. The Anzieher's house was built 50 years later as a home and copper goods warehouse for the technical manager and was inhabited by the later private owners of the company.

A unique testimony to the world's non-ferrous metallurgy industry from 1537 is the "Saigerhütte Olbernhau - Grünthal". It owes its name to a smelting process for desilvering raw copper, known as saigern, which was revolutionary at the time. The formerly self-contained, privileged industrial community comprises over 20 historical buildings, surrounded by the remains of a defensive wall. Today, we find museums, leisure facilities and restaurants at every turn in the area, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on July 6, 2019 along with other contemporary witnesses of the "Ore Mountains/Krušnohoří Mining Region".
