The well-preserved medieval monastery complex, which existed until 1552, is located in the heart of the town of Rehna. At present, the Protestant church community, the Rehna Monastery Association and the official administration are based in the monastery complex.
In the monastery museum you can learn more about a medieval women's monastery community in the Duchy of Mecklenburg, which belonged to the diocese of Ratzeburg and from the 14th to the 16th century to the Premonstratensian order, as well as the building history and art treasures of the complex.
Outside, the monastery courtyards, the nuns' garden and the provost's courtyard, and the monastery garden can be visited.
The monastery association Rehna e.V. offers guided tours through the monastery complex, the garden and the city as well as themed tours.
There is a free car park behind the monastery complex.
