    Amazing views from the top would definitely recommend. It's great how close it is to Aviemore and that you can get such great views without actually going up a mountain. Can be boggy in parts so wear appropriate footwear!

      From the top of the Craigellachie you can enjoy beautiful panoramas. The "cairn" indicates that you are there.

          The entrance to the reserve is on the south side of Aviemore, close to the youth hostel (signposted from the main road). Take the path leading to the youth hostel past the caravan park and enter the reserve passing under the A9. The route is quite steep in places and rough and muddy in others. You can park in the youth hostel car park during your visit, but do not leave vehicles overnight.

              Very nice tour, great views and easy to get to from Aviemore. The entrance is a bit difficult to find as it leads along a tiny path over the holiday resort's playground past the small pond.
              The hiking trail leads through birch forests and becomes increasingly rocky as the altitude increases. The climb all the way to the summit is definitely worth it.
