The town hall of Kolberg was built between 1829 and 1832 by Ernst Friedrich Zwinger (the master builder of Cologne Cathedral). With its pointed arched windows and small corner towers, the building is somewhat reminiscent of the medieval town hall that was destroyed in 1807. The red brick building in neo-Gothic style even reminds some visitors of a medieval castle. Today, however, no knights sit here, but the city council, the registry office, the Kolberg cultural center and the art gallery.
