As a foreigner, you’re required to check in and out of India and get your passport in Order. However, there is no obvious place to do it, you need to look for it and find it on your own. Same goes in Nepal. If you’re going toward India, start looking for a tiny sign to your right about 800m past the border. Don’t keep going thinking you’re ok because you filled an Indian a form just before crossing the border, you’ll get in trouble quickly without stopping here.
