This seminary, whose full name is Santa María de los Ángeles, really only had that function between 1957 and 1971. Before that, in the 19th century, it was the private residence of the Marquises of Peñaflor and was originally a Franciscan monastery. After many years abandoned, since 2021 it has been converted into a social reintegration center under the name of Residencia San Gabriel. It is managed by the Diocese of Córdoba and is focused on people who have recently been released from prison and want to be trained in beekeeping and agriculture.
