The Caves Freixenet headquarters are located in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, next to the train station. It is a building designed by the architect Josep Ros i Ros, in the Catalan noucentisme style, a cultural current developed in Catalonia in the first decades of the 20th century whose main characteristics are the search for beauty and formal perfection.
Freixenet began its activity in 1889, from the merger of two wineries belonging to the Ferrer (La Freixeneda) and the Salas (Casa Sala) families. In 1914 they began the production of sparkling wines, known in Catalonia as cava.
