The Lahn station in Leun was built in 1863 and became a route point on the Lahn Valley Railway, which runs on standard gauge with 1435 mm.
The Ernstbahn, a 600 mm narrow-gauge mine railway, had its terminus at the Lahn station in Leun until 1962. It brought ore from the Eisenfeld and Ottilie mines in Philippstein.
