The path runs through the Corchuela meadows and connects with a dirt track that leads to the surroundings of the Charca del Cueto, one of the most important ecosystems of the Brozas wetland complex. The route turns to the right towards the urban complex of Brozas. At the entrance to the town is the Charca de Brozas reservoir, a naturalized lagoon with little beaches and birds taking advantage of the wetland's fluvial ecosystem. Brozas is at the Vía de la Estrella pass. The historic center preserves important works of civil, religious and military architectural heritage, when Brozas had an important weight in the transit through the medieval road through the Tierras de Alcántara. The route passes through the Plaza de Ovando and continues to the church of Santa María la Mayor, where the milestones of the Vía de la Estrella (GR-112) appear, nearby is the castle of the Commander of the Order of Alcántara and several manor houses with noble stone shields. The Via de la Estrella leaves Brozas through the steppe environment of the Colada de los Charros cattle trail. The change in landscape is impressive, there are no trees and the horizon seems endless. The road surface is excellent and it is delicious to pedal through the Extremaduran countryside.
