Here we see the images of two wolves, also the result of the Exxposed event. We suspect that this image is a reference to the Bad Wolf Festival. The Boze Wolf Festival is a recurring regional and international puppet theater festival in Flanders, where characters of all shapes, sizes and genres come to life. And nearby you will also discover a beautiful bird. Elsewhere in the city you can see a squirrel va Dzia.

Perhaps the most famous street art artist in Belgium is DZIA from Antwerp. Dzia was interested in live art from an early age and grew up in a family open to culture. He graduated in 2002 as a master in fine arts at the Royal Academy of Antwerp. Originally an all-round artist (drawings, stencils, sculptures and murals), he realized he wanted to use walls as a medium for his works. He created a unique graphic style, with abstract and geometric lines as his signature. Throughout his frescoes we see a predilection for wild animals, foxes and birds. His art wants to give space in the city back to the wild, to move animals to urban areas. Here in the garden, the color he uses is limited. In recent years we have seen more and more work appear that is richer, more varied and brighter in color.

He is also the creator of the KRANK fanzine. a handmade magazine of only 50 copies and with a street art theme. This self-published magazine introduces you to works by other artists. This is a way for Dzia to showcase this increasingly popular urban art.

He mainly draws wild animals using abstract and geometric lines. Here in the former monastery garden you can see his famous wolves that can be seen regularly in Belgium and abroad. You can find his work in various places in London, Germany, Italy, China, Norway, Spain, the US, ... He is often looking for abandoned places and buildings in Belgium to make them flourish again by adding the element ' add art. Surprising and pleasant to discover in abandoned places, dilapidated houses or bridges!

The two giant wolves by Dzia in the museum garden have been on display here since 2016 and were created together with other works as part of a street art project called Exxposed, set up for the then twentieth anniversary of CC Het Gasthuis. The Delft blue stencils by Dutchman Hugo Kaagman elsewhere on the Gasthuis site also date from that time. Read on standaard.be/cnt/dmf20160509_02281110
