“Red deer can be found in all large forest areas in Germany. Unfortunately, its stocks are excessive in many places. This causes considerable damage to the forests. [...] During the rut in September/October the stags fight fiercely. In March, the deer sheds its antlers and puts out new ones in 5 months.
